Second Saturday Divorce Workshops for Women
If you are a woman who is considering divorce, or perhaps in the early to mid-stages of the divorce process, you need to attend one of these educational information-packed 4-hour workshops. Second Saturday deals with the legal, financial, family and personal issues of divorce in a logical, yet compassionate way to gain a greater understanding of the confusing divorce process. Growing Through Grief: Rebuilding Hope is a six-week bereavement program offered free for anyone coping with the loss of a loved one. Experienced bereavement counselors create a welcome setting for those dealing with a difficult loss.

Good Grief Center’s Bereavement Support Groups
The Good Grief Center for Bereavement Support offers support groups for anyone having trouble coping with the death of a loved one. General groups are from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on first and third Wednesdays; and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on second and fourth Thursdays. A “Daughters without Mothers” support group meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month. The Good Grief Center, a nonprofit organization located at 2717 Murray Ave. in Squirrel Hill, serves all ages and is a division of Ursuline Senior Services. DivorceCare Support Groups
DivorceCare Support Groups are held across the country in various locations for 13-week sessions. The weekly sessions begin with the group watching a video seminar on a specific divorce topic.
Some of the weekly themes include topics such as dealing with ager and loneliness, financial survival, effects of divorce on children and families, forgiveness and new relationships. After the video session the group spends the rest of the time discussing the topic presented and sharing ideas with others going through similar experiences.

DivorceCare for Kids (DK4K) is a 13-week support group to help children ages 5 – 13 heal from the pain of divorce. DC4K provides children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn to share their feelings to help heal from the pain caused by a separation or divorce.
Each session is centered around a weekly topic such as: What’s Happening to My Family?, Facing My Anger, Developing New Relationships, It’s Not My Fault, and Telling My Parents How I Feel. Kids will participate in various activities (games, crafts, role playing, discussions, and journaling activity books) to help them process the divorce and more forward in their lives.
