Macy’s Believe Campaign Kicks Off Across the Country

Macy’s iconic holiday program, benefitting Make-A-Wish®, began last week with a special event at The Mall at Robinson

The magic of Macy’s Believe campaign returns for the eighth year to celebrate the season’s spirit of generosity and goodwill, all while benefitting Make-A-Wish. From November 6 through December 24, “Believers” of all ages can bring their stamped letters to Santa to their local Macy’s store or send a letter by visiting macys.com/believe. For each letter received, Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish, up to $1 million, to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

On Saturday, November 7, Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia, volunteers and local wish families headed to The Mall at Robinson Macy’s to celebrate the magic of Believe this holiday season. At the celebration, those in attendance were encouraged to share why they believe while taking part in their own letter writing to Santa. The celebration brought everyone together to kick-off the spirit of the season with a “selfie station” – where folks were able to share what they believe in – festive props, a DJ and delicious holiday cookies.

The featured wish children included 16-year-old Zack, who, at age six, wished for a T-rex dinosaur in his backyard, and has since founded his own event, Make-A-Move for Make-A-Wish, raising $160,000 in just four years. 19-year-old Francesca, who wished to be a fashion blogger at LA Fashion Week, also joined the celebration. Today, Francesca serves as marketing intern for the local Make-A-Wish chapter.
