Kathleen Ganster is a freelance writer and journalism professor at Point Park University. She has written over 1,300 articles for various newspapers, magazines and Web sites on a variety of topics including health; education; food; travel; current events; outdoor writing, and human-interest stories.
She also co-authored French Cooking…Cooking Aboard the Lewis R. French, and a cultural history book, Southwestern Pennsylvania: Land of Opportunity. and a chapter for Baker Handbook of Single Parent Ministry.
At Point Park University, Kathleen teaches Journalism 1 and II, Freelance Writing, Feature Writing, Magazine Writing, and University Experience. She has also taught Grant Writing and Public Relations Writing at La Roche College.
Kathleen was a single parent of her three children, Eliza, now 20, Kenton, 18 and Cole, 16 for 13 years. She married Paul Sauers two years ago and they live in the Pittsburgh area.
