Caorunn is a handcrafted Scottish Gin. Artisanal from start to finish, Caorunn is an adventure in itself. Five handpicked Celtic and six traditional gin botanicals are infused to perfection in the world’s only working Copper Berry Chamber on Speyside, resulting in a modern London Dry style gin with a crisp aromatic taste. With its fruity, floral notes evoking the Scottish Highlands, Caorunn Gin invites discerning drinkers to celebrate individuality and creativity. For more information, visit www.caorunngin.com.

Ruffino Riserva Ducale Chianti Classico ($25) and Ruffino Riserva Ducale Oro Chianti Classico ($40) are smooth Sangiovese-based wines with notes of fresh fruit and hints of pepper and spice that create a perfect balance for fall and winter pairings. These wines pair well with hearty meat dishes, steak and roasted vegetables. They are also excellent with family style Italian dishes such as mushroom risotto, pasta Bolognese, and chicken cacciatore. As the temperature starts to cool and the fall harvest is in full swing, food becomes heartier, incorporating seasonal vegetables like squash and pumpkin with dark meats and Ruffino’s flavorful, characteristically Italian wines. Both wines are available nationally.

Ruffino’s Riserva Ducale wines are historically significant standard-bearers for the Chianti region and beloved by Americans for decades. (Riserva Ducale was the first Chianti to receive DOCG certification, bearing the A000000001 classification number, thanks to Ruffino’s role in establishing Chianti as a world-class wine.) I have attached some additional information on Ruffino’s history, as well as some information and tasting sheets for Riserva Ducale Chianti Classico and Riserva Ducale Oro for your consideration.
